Romilly 22, “Speedwell” (RY23) A much admired boat, designed by Nigel Irens, built by Bridgend boats in 2000, and supplied with minor finishing joinery, paintwork and fixing of deck fittings for completion by her owner. She is now on her trailer at Kirkcudbright in south west Scotland, in good order and ready to launch. She remains exactly as designed, with no significant alterations and no hull piercings. She is also free from any damage other than wear or tear consistent with her age, and has been laid up ashore for 6 months each year, spending the remaining 6 months in her berth at Kirkcudbright Marina.

She has been carefully maintained by her original owner, and has been lightly used for estuary sailing here, with occasional visits to other local ports and events including the Peel Traditional Boat Festival on the Isle of Man. She has been admired wherever she has traveled to, and is a constant joy to own. The only reason for sale now is her owner’s advancing years and ill health.
